graduated! etc.

May 26, 2007 · 7 Comments

I officially graduated yesterday!

There was a family party!

And flowers!

flowers!

And gifts!

graduation ring

(my lovely sapphire “class” ring :) )

im a little teapot

(mini piano teapot! I LOVE this!)

I wear bach on my finger

(Bach thimble! too awesome for words. I must express it contrapuntally on the (piano) keyboard instead. ;) )

So.. huzzah! I’m feeling very happy right now. I did decide on college- going to my local university for the first year. My major is piano performance, and I’ll also be taking some legal classes. I’m very excited!

And I have been knitting also:

endpaper mitt

This should be finished. but it isn’t. I don’t want to do the funky bind off. =\ I’ve done it before, and it isn’t a problem.. I just don’t feel like doing it! Blah. Someone tell me to get it done this weekend!

making progress

I’ve also started working on Salina again. Now that I’m working on it, it’s working up pretty quickly! I want to finish both of my sweaters this summer. Then I think I’m going to concentrate on socks for awhile…

Now, I’m wanting to have a fun project this summer- either some socks out of some kind of AMAZING yarn, or a noni bag. What say ya’ll? And any suggestions for a totally WOW sockyarn?

Awhile back, I decided to take inventory of very small yarn stash. You know, I don’t really stash- I’m better than that! But I’m not above picking up a skein or two on sale…

This is my not a stash.

not a stash

What do you give your (**cough**geeky**cough**) brother for his 20th birthday? Cookies decorated like his school mascot, of course!

rock chalk!

They were a Herculanean effort, and quite successful, if I do say so myself!

Spring is finally here, and I’ve been working a bit in my garden…

A more knitterly update to come soon, stay tuned!
